NABARD  has allocated Rs. 87 crore to the Government of Nagaland for the current year 2008-09 under RIDF XIV.  The detailed circular has been issued the the State Government in this regard. The loans avaiable through RIDF window  are the cheapest sources of fund available to the State Governments in the country today. The Union Finance Minister P. Chidambaram in the Union Budget 2008-09 propose to raise the corpus fund of RIDF XIV to Rs. 14,000 cr. It may be stated here that State Government  has been sanctioned Rs. 201.73 crore for development of infrastructure under various sector such as Link Roads, Rural Roads, Land Development, Piggery Development, Minor Irrigation, Riverine Fisheries, Rubber Plantation, Agro- Forestry, Veterinary Hospitals, etc.
