The Director, State Council of Educational Research & Training, Vipralhou Kesiezie has informed that no teacher will be recruited without having either Diploma or Certificate Course in Teacher Education. This is as per the National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE) norms and the approval of the Governor’s Executive Council vide O.M. No. GEC-1/2008 dated 25th February, 2008.

In this connection, the SCERT, Nagaland, Kohima will be introducing 1-Year Pre Service Teacher Education for Primary School Teachers Certificate Course for the Session-2008-2009, for a period of 3 years.

            Therefore, any candidate desiring to take up Teaching Profession as a career may apply for the Course. The course will start from 2nd week of July, 2008 at DIETs-Chiechama, Mokokchung, Tuensang, Mon, Dimapur, Pfütsero, St. Paul, Phesama & Salt Christian Collage of Teacher Education, Dimapur.

Requirements:

·    Minimum required Educational qualification: PU/ Class 12 passed and above with 45% marks. 5% relaxable for ST and other Backward Classes.

·    Maximum age limit:       30 years

·    Interview will be conducted at SCERT-Kohima for DIET- Chiechama and for DIETs-Mokokchung, Tuensang, Mon, Dimapur, Pfütsero, St. Paul, Phesama and Salt Christian Collage of Teacher Education, Dimapur, interview will be conducted in the respective institutes on 15th July, 2008 at 11a.m. No individual Call Letter will be issued.

·    No TA/DA will be paid for the Interview.

·    Selected candidates may be deputed to any of the institutes mentioned above at the discretion of the Department.

·    Application forms will be available at SCERT, Kohima, DIETs-Mokokchung, Mon, Tuensang, Dimapur, Pfütsero, St. Paul, Phesama & SCCTE-Dimapur.
