Tableau presentations by different departments will mark the nation’s Republic Day celebrations on 26th January 2009 at Kohima. Sixteen departments will vie for the Governor’s Trophy for Excellence that will be awarded on the day to the best tableau presentation. Cash awards for the best three tableau besides certificate of appreciation to all participating departments will be given out.

            This year the participating departments include Industries & Commerce, Rural Development, Forest & Environment Veterinary & Animal Husbandry Bamboo Agency, Horticulture, Agriculture, Sericulture, Public Health Engineering (PHE), Information Technology & Technical Education, Art & Culture, Police, Fire & Emergency Services, Health & Family welfare, Roads & Bridges and Mechanical Department.

Participating Departments are to submit write up on the theme of their respective tableau to the Secretary, Home on or before 18th January positively.
