Government constitute Committee on Capacity Building

The Government of Nagaland has constituted a High Powered Committee on Capacity Building comprising of the following:

Chief Minister - Chairman

Cabinet Ministers - Members

Parliamentary Secretary (YRS) - Member

Parliamentary Secretary (I & C) - Member

Deputy Chairman, State Planning Board - Member

Adviser, IT & TE - Member

Chief Secretary - Member

Principal Secretary, School Education - Member

Principal Secretary & Finance Commissioner - Member

Secretary, Industries & Commerce - Member

Principal Secretary & Development Commissioner - Member Secretary

The terms of reference of the High Powered Committee shall be to examine and approve the recommendations of the Task Force on Capacity Building and to monitor the progress of implementation capacity building and human resource development programmes by departments and other agencies / institutes.

The State Government has also constituted a Task Force on Capacity Building comprising of the following members

Principal Secretary & Development Commissioner - Chairman

Principal Secretary (SE) - Member

Principal Secretary (HE) - Member

Principal Secretary & FC - Member

Principal Secretary (P&AR) - Member

Commissioner & Secretary (H&FW) - Member

Commissioner &Secretary (UD) - Member

Secretary (ITTE) - Member

Secretary (YR&S) - Member

OSD (Planning) - Member Secretary

The terms of reference of the Task Force shall be to work out the framework, strategy, action plan, quantifiable targets for capacity building and human resources development for all concerned sectors of the government and for the youths particularly the large pool of educated unemployed etc.

To assist the Task Force on Capacity Building and to co-ordinate with the Departments during the ‘Year of Capacity Building” a capacity building cell under the Planning and Coordination Department has also been constituted with the following members.

1. Augustine Yanthan, Planning officer - Cell Head

2. Kezungupe Tsuhah, Planning officer - Member

3. Dr (Miss) Benjongtula, Planning Assistant - Member

4. Limatemsu Chankija, LDA - Member

All proposals/issues pertaining to capacity building and human development submitted by Departments, institutes and agencies during 2008-2009 shall be dealt by the Capacity Building Cell.
